PT Setya Dharma Maritim Manajemen is currently seeking an experienced Chief Cook to join a Self Propelled Barge (SPB) equipped with two offshore cranes for an offshore project in Guinea, West Africa.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning menus, preparing nutritious meals for officers and crew, managing galley operations, maintaining food hygiene standards, and ensuring efficient catering services throughout the contract.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced offshore Chief Cooks with previous Self Propelled Barge and West Africa operational experience.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality meals for officers and crew
Plan menus and manage food inventories
Maintain galley hygiene and sanitation standards
Store and handle food in accordance with health regulations
Manage galley supplies and provisioning
Maintain catering records and inventory reports
Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and maritime catering standards
Requirements
Valid STCW 2010 certification package (BST MSC 560)
Minimum 24 months of experience onboard Self Propelled Barges (SPB) as Chief Cook
Previous West Africa experience is mandatory
Valid passport, seaman book, and medical certificate
All certificates and documents valid for at least 18 months
Good English communication skills
Strong culinary skills and galley management experience
Excellent hygiene standards and teamwork abilities
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
