Select Offshore is currently seeking an experienced Chief Cook to join an Offshore Vessel operating worldwide.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the galley, preparing nutritious meals for multinational crews, maintaining food hygiene standards, and ensuring efficient provisioning and inventory management onboard.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced maritime cooks with previous offshore vessel experience.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality meals for officers and crew
Plan menus according to dietary and operational requirements
Maintain galley hygiene and sanitation standards
Manage food inventories and provisioning
Ensure proper storage and stock rotation of provisions
Supervise galley assistants where applicable
Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings
Comply with food safety and company HSE procedures
Requirements
Previous experience as Chief Cook onboard Offshore Vessels
Valid STCW certification package
Valid Ship's Cook Certificate and Food Hygiene Certificate preferred
Valid passport, seaman book, and medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong culinary and organizational skills
Excellent hygiene and food safety knowledge
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
