Job Description
Novo Sdn Bhd is currently seeking an experienced Chief Cook to join an Accommodation Work Boat (AWB) DP2 Vessel supporting offshore operations in Malaysia Offshore.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for the crew, managing galley operations, maintaining food inventories, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced offshore cooks with previous service onboard offshore support vessels.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare daily meals for crew members
Plan menus and manage food inventories
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and sanitation
Supervise galley cleanliness and equipment maintenance
Ensure proper storage and handling of provisions
Comply with food safety regulations and company procedures
Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings
Support crew welfare through quality catering services
Requirements
Previous experience as Chief Cook on offshore vessels
Minimum 12 months of offshore catering experience preferred
Valid STCW 2010 certification package
Valid OPITO BOSIET
Valid passport and offshore medical certificate
Food Handling / Catering Certificate preferred
Good English communication skills
Strong culinary and galley management skills
Excellent hygiene and safety awareness
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
