DMC Offshore Croatia is urgently seeking an experienced Barge Master to join a shallow-water Cable-Laying Project in Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation, positioning, and management of offshore barges while supporting cable-laying and offshore construction activities.
Job Responsibilities
Command and operate offshore barges safely
Supervise barge stability and ballast operations
Coordinate with project management and marine personnel
Support shallow-water cable-laying operations
Ensure compliance with HSE and offshore regulations
Conduct safety meetings and emergency drills
Maintain operational readiness of the vessel
Prepare operational reports and documentation
Requirements
Previous experience as Barge Master
Experience on cable-laying or shallow-water offshore projects preferred
EU Residency is mandatory
Valid STCW 2010 certification package
Valid Passport, Seaman's Book, and Medical Certificate
Additional offshore certificates are an advantage
Good English communication skills
Available for immediate mobilization
