Location: Chile Chico (Research voyage in Uruguay & surrounding region)
Job Description:
Worldwide Recruitment Solutions (WRS) is seeking a qualified Able Seaman (AB) to join a large research vessel taking part in polar research operations. The contract starts 8th November and ends 6th January. The project involves scientific and logistical support in remote environments, requiring experienced and reliable personnel.
A UK Seaman's Book is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Supporting mooring, unmooring, and deck operations
• Performing maintenance and cleaning of deck areas
• Assisting with loading/unloading of equipment
• Ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
• Supporting polar research logistics onboard
Requirements:
• Valid AB Certificate of Competency (CoC)
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Passport
• UK Seaman’s Book – mandatory
• Experience on research or similar vessels is an advantage
Employment Details:
• Contract Duration: 8th November – 6th January
• Salary: £188 per day
