A maritime company is seeking an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join a DP2 Cable Laying Vessel operating on worldwide offshore cable installation projects.
The successful candidate will support deck operations, mooring, maintenance, cargo handling, and cable laying activities while ensuring compliance with vessel safety and operational procedures.
Job Responsibilities
Perform deck duties as assigned by the deck officers
Participate in mooring, anchoring, and deck operations
Assist with cable laying and offshore operations
Carry out deck maintenance, painting, and preservation work
Maintain deck equipment and work areas
Assist with cargo handling and lifting operations
Participate in safety drills and emergency response activities
Follow all HSE, environmental, and vessel procedures
Requirements
Valid STCW certificates relevant to the position
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
Previous experience as an Able Seaman onboard vessels
Offshore, DP vessel, or Cable Laying Vessel experience is an advantage
Good knowledge of English
Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural crew
