Job Description:
OOS International is recruiting an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join an Accommodation Vessel operating in offshore environments.
The successful candidate will support deck operations, mooring, maintenance, cargo handling, and general marine activities while maintaining high standards of safety, operational readiness, and housekeeping onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Perform daily deck maintenance, cleaning, and preservation
• Assist with mooring, anchoring, and vessel maneuvering operations
• Support cargo handling and deck operations
• Handle ropes, wires, and deck equipment safely
• Assist with offshore lifting and personnel transfer operations where required
• Maintain deck tools, equipment, and safety gear
• Participate in emergency drills, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
• Follow company HSE procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and safe working practices
Requirements:
• Valid Able Seafarer Deck / AB Certificate
• Previous AB experience onboard offshore, accommodation, construction, or support vessels preferred
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Valid Passport and Seaman’s Book
• Relevant offshore safety certificates where applicable
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities
• Physically and medically fit for offshore service
