Select Offshore is currently seeking an experienced Radio Officer to join Offshore Support Vessels operating in UK waters.
The successful candidate will maintain onboard communication systems, monitor radio traffic, coordinate vessel communications, and ensure compliance with international maritime communication regulations.
This opportunity is suitable for experienced Radio Officers with previous offshore vessel experience.
Job Responsibilities
Operate and monitor GMDSS communication systems
Maintain radio and communication equipment
Coordinate vessel communications
Keep radio logs and communication records
Monitor emergency frequencies
Participate in emergency drills
Ensure compliance with GMDSS and maritime regulations
Support safe offshore operations
Requirements
Valid STCW certification package
Valid GMDSS General Operator Certificate
Previous Offshore Support Vessel experience preferred
Valid passport and medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
