Job Description:
As 2nd Officer, you will support the Captain in day-to-day vessel operations and contribute to safety onboard. You will be part of a dedicated crew and play an important role in maintaining Solstad’s high standards in offshore maritime operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Support the Captain in navigation and vessel operation
• Carry out safety inspections and implement safety procedures
• Plan routes and monitor weather conditions
• Operate communication equipment and report embarkation/disembarkation of personnel
• Assist in the training and guidance of junior officers and deck crew
• Maintain accurate documentation and logbook records
Requirements:
• Valid STCW D3 Certificate (Officer of the Watch)
• Valid DP Certificate (Dynamic Positioning)
• Relevant offshore or maritime sector experience
• Medical fitness certificate
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English
• Ability to work independently and in a team with a focus on safety
