A reputable shipping company is recruiting an experienced 2nd Engineer to support the Chief Engineer with safe engine-room operations and maintenance onboard a Turkish-flagged Tug Boat.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Chief Engineer with engine-room operations
• Monitor and maintain main and auxiliary machinery
• Conduct planned and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical and technical defects
• Maintain engine-room records and equipment readiness
• Follow company safety and maintenance procedures
Requirements
• Valid 2nd Engineer Certificate of Competency
• Minimum 3,000 kW qualification required
• Previous Tug Boat or similar marine engineering experience preferred
• Strong machinery maintenance skills
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid Passport, Seaman’s Book, and Medical Certificate
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness
• Turkish personnel preferred
