Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing the vessel's engine room operations
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of all machinery and equipment onboard
- Supervise and provide guidance to the engine room crew
- Implement and adhere to safety protocols and procedures
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs
Requirements:
- Valid STCW certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on similar vessels
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing marine machinery
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
