Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer to join a Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) DP2 Diesel Electric operating in West Africa (WAF, Congo). The position offers a competitive day rate and an opportunity to work with a reputable offshore operator in challenging and dynamic conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assist the Chief Engineer in managing engine room operations on a DP2 PSV
• Operate, monitor, and maintain main and auxiliary machinery (Diesel Electric propulsion)
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and class regulations
• Report machinery status and maintenance needs to the Chief Engineer
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates and COC/Endorsements
• Medical fitness certificate
• DP Maintenance Certificate required
• Minimum 12 months offshore experience in the same rank
• Experience with Diesel Electric propulsion systems
• Good command of English (spoken & written)
• Valid Passport, Seaman’s Book, COC/END, and vaccination certificates
• Only candidates meeting all requirements will be considered
• Shipowner restriction: Not accepting residents of Crimea
Employment Details:
• Contract Duration: 2 months (+/-)
• Rotation: 2 months on/off
• Salary: USD 6,100 – 7,500 per month
• Day Rate: USD 210 – 250 (depending on experience)
