Job Description:
SA-World is looking for a qualified 2nd Engineer to join the engine department of a modern Pipe Lay Vessel. The candidate will assist the Chief Engineer in maintaining and operating all technical systems onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and maintain all main and auxiliary machinery.
Supervise engine room crew and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
Record technical data and report to Chief Engineer.
Participate in drills and emergency procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW, COC (2nd Engineer).
Minimum 12 months offshore or DP vessel experience.
Strong technical and communication skills.
Fluent in English.
