Job Description:
Spliethoff is looking for an experienced Chief Officer to join a Multi-Purpose Vessel (MPV) operating in European waters. The vessel engages in heavy-lift, breakbulk, and project cargo operations worldwide. The company provides a stable European working environment with excellent career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Safe navigation and cargo handling operations
• Supervision of deck crew and maintenance activities
• Coordination with engineering department during cargo and ballast operations
• Ensuring compliance with international safety and environmental regulations
• Active participation in loading/discharging and heavy-lift operations
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Experience working with European crew preferred
• Knowledge of cargo gear and heavy-lift operations
• Hands-on mentality, motivated and committed to the vessel
• Welding knowledge is an advantage
