WRS are urgently hiring a **Chief Engineer** to join a **General Cargo Vessel**. The role is based in the UK with operations conducted solely in UK waters. Mobilization is required **ASAP**. Candidates must have valid UK working rights.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Oversee safe and efficient operation of the vessel’s engine room
• Plan and execute maintenance of machinery and equipment
• Ensure compliance with international and UK maritime regulations
• Supervise engine department crew and manage technical documentation

• Chief Engineer CoC (appropriate for vessel type)
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid Seaman’s Book
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
• UK working rights (essential)
