Job Description
Vasundhara Marine Services Pvt. Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join Aframax, Suezmax, and VLCC Tankers operating on international trading routes.
The successful candidate will manage the engine department, supervise engineering personnel, maintain propulsion and auxiliary machinery, and ensure the vessel complies with international maritime regulations and company HSE policies.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced Chief Engineers with previous crude oil tanker experience.
Job Responsibilities
Manage all engine room operations
Supervise engineering officers and ratings
Ensure safe operation of propulsion and auxiliary machinery
Oversee planned maintenance programs
Control spare parts and engine department documentation
Ensure compliance with STCW, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and company HSE procedures
Conduct emergency drills and safety meetings
Maintain operational readiness of all machinery
Requirements
Previous experience as Chief Engineer onboard Aframax, Suezmax, or VLCC Tankers
Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency
Valid STCW 2010 certification package
Valid passport, seaman book, and medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong engineering management and leadership skills
Excellent safety awareness
Physically and medically fit for sea service
