PT Savana Charta Indonesia is currently seeking an experienced Bosun to join its Oil Tanker Vessel fleet. The successful candidate will supervise the deck ratings, coordinate deck maintenance activities, and ensure safe execution of mooring, cargo, and daily deck operations under the direction of the Chief Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Supervising daily work of the deck crew.
Organizing maintenance, painting, cleaning, and preservation of deck equipment.
Assisting with cargo handling, mooring, anchoring, and towing operations.
Inspecting deck machinery and reporting maintenance requirements.
Promoting compliance with onboard safety procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW Certificates.
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
Good English communication skills.
Valid BOCT, ACT, and AOT certificates.
Certificate of Competency (COC), where applicable, valid for at least 18 months.
Minimum 1 year of experience as Bosun on an Oil Tanker.
Completed COVID-19 vaccination.
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book.
