PT Savana Charta Indonesia is urgently recruiting an experienced Second Officer (2/O) to join a VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for navigational watchkeeping, passage planning, and supporting safe deck and cargo operations in accordance with company procedures and international maritime regulations.
The position is open to Indonesian seafarers with proven experience in the same rank and vessel type. Candidates should be comfortable working in a multinational crew environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Maintaining a safe navigational watch and assisting with passage planning.
Updating nautical charts, publications, and navigational records.
Assisting with cargo, ballast, and deck operations.
Maintaining navigational and safety equipment.
Participating in emergency drills and ensuring compliance with onboard safety procedures.
Requirements:
Valid Second Officer Certificate of Competency (COC).
Valid STCW Certificates.
Valid BOCT, ACT, and AOT certificates.
Valid COC and COP in accordance with STCW 2010, with a minimum validity of 18 months.
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
Fluent English communication skills.
Minimum 1 year of experience in the same rank and vessel type.
Experience on vessels up to 50,000 GRT.
Experience working with multinational crews.
Completed COVID-19 vaccination.
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book.
