Job Description:
Spliethoff is seeking a skilled Second Officer for its fleet of Multi-Purpose Vessels (MPV) operating in Europe and worldwide. The position offers an opportunity to work in an international environment with advanced navigation and cargo operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in navigational watch and safe voyage planning
• Oversee bridge equipment maintenance and safety checks
• Assist Chief Officer in cargo operations and deck maintenance
• Ensure compliance with ISM/ISPS and company procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Experience with European crew preferred
• Familiarity with ECDIS and modern bridge systems
• Welding skills are an advantage
