OSM Thome is seeking a skilled 2nd Engineer (2/E) to sail aboard our bulk carrier fleet. This is an exceptional opportunity for marine engineers who want to experience life at sea and ensure the efficient running of our vessels worldwide.
Assist the Chief Engineer in maintaining and operating all engine room machinery and equipment.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the engine room crew.
Ensure compliance with international safety and environmental standards.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery to prevent mechanical failures.
Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the vessel.
Minimum of 18 months of experience as 3rd Engineer on similar vessels.
Valid 2nd Engineer License (STCW III/2).
Strong understanding of marine engineering systems and safety protocols.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability at sea.
