Location: Worldwide

Role Overview:
The Welder is responsible for executing safe, high-quality welding, cutting, and maintenance work throughout the offshore drilling unit. The position requires a proactive approach to safety, attention to detail, and compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and general repair work across the drilling unit as directed by the Chief Engineer.
Strictly adhere to Stena Drilling safety policies and promote a safe working culture among crew members.
Assist supervisors in identifying tasks that may require a Risk Assessment or Permit to Work.
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of welding equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Supervise, inspect, and maintain oxy-acetylene installations, ensuring correct and safe stowage of bottles.
Maintain adequate stock of welding consumables (gases, electrodes, etc.) and request resupply when required.
Keep updated on current welding procedures and industry standards.
Notify the Chief Engineer of any spare parts or equipment needs.
Ensure a Fire Watcher is present where required, in accordance with Permit to Work regulations.
Maintain and renew welding certifications as per company and classification society requirements.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer or senior engineering personnel.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Welder in offshore or heavy industrial environments.
Proficiency in arc, MIG, and TIG welding, with strong fabrication and fitting skills.
Valid offshore certifications, including:
BOSIET / FOET with CA-EBS
OGUK / Offshore Medical Certificate
MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training)
Certified in offshore welding standards (DNV, ABS, or equivalent).
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Good communication skills in English.

Employment Details:

Rotation: Standard offshore rotation (e.g., 28 days on / 28 days off)
Salary: Competitive, based on qualifications and experience
