Welder Responsibilities:
Maintain equipment and keep work area clean
Fabricate without supervision in a marine shipyard setting
Fabricate from drawings, sketches, and verbal directions at an intermediate level
Serve as lead-man on small welding and fabrication crews
Perform ship repair, marine construction (piers & docks)
Report any unsafe work-related items or conditions to Welding Supervisor
Inform Welding Supervisor of inventory needs and usage
Know the routine and emergency procedures of the welding shop and facility
Comply with all safety policies and guidelines set forth by Resolve, OSHA, or other regulating body
Welder Requirements:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent
Driver’s License/Passport/Government Issued ID
4 years of experience in metal fitting and welding
Marine shipyard offshore or salvage experience
Verifiable training as a welder
Welding certification
Possess or able to pass all RMG welding certificates
TWIC or able to obtain a TWIC card
Able to work on small vessels and repairs
