Working Conditions:
Primarily office environment
Air travel within Canada and US, occasional local travel driving company vehicle or rental vehicle. May require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Overnight business or field trips may be required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Applied knowledge of government regulatory and industry codes regarding fire suppression for liquid hydrocarbon pipeline systems in Canada and the US such as, but not limited to, NFPA codes and standards, Canadian Fire Codes, API 2000
Familiar knowledge of government regulatory and industry codes such as, but not limited to, CFR 195, CSA Z662, International Fire Code, API 650
Possess an aptitude for successfully building relationships with team members, internal and external stakeholders
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form. Required to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical staff
Fire Protection/Suppression certification is an asset (e.g., a NFPA Associate, Professional or Expert Level Certification)
