A vacancy has arisen for the position of a Temporary Onshore Maintenance Supervisor (Mechanical) within our Aberdeen Office. This position will be required for approx. 12-18 months.
The Onshore Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the provision of technical guidance to rig maintenance personnel for preventative maintenance and breakdown/repair of equipment to ensure maximum rig equipment up time. The key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the responsibilities detailed below:
Deal with any further maintenance related issues that may arise during normal rig operations.
Ensure that Odfjell Drilling and Client Management Systems procedures and policies are followed.
Undertake field visits and make recommendations accordingly to ensure maintenance and repair procedures are in place.
Organise onshore repair of equipment.
Liaise with the client, Engineering and rig personnel for upgrades and projects as required.
Compile work scopes and project plans for implementation.
Gather vendor/relevant information to assist offshore personnel.
Ensure that all equipment repairs are carried out in a cost effective and safe manner.
Assist in the recording of all equipment repairs and breakdowns, advising the Asset Manager of any anomalies found, to assist in providing a quality service to our customers.
To ensure that the tracking of all equipment repairs are accounted for and accurate.
Assist in the control of non conformance reports connected to equipment failures.
Responsible for conducting competence assessments in conjunction with the Odfjell Drilling Competence Assurance Management System (CAMS)
To assist in the provision of technical training on all equipment maintenance to onshore and offshore staff as required.
The successful candidate must have the following:
The right to work in the UK
A minimum of 5 years experience in an Offshore Industry Mechanical role.
A minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience.
A formally recognised Mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent.
Must have an extensive knowledge of all relevant offshore electrical equipment.
Extensive knowledge of maintenance programmes.
Experience with external suppliers of drilling associated equipment.
