The position requires a candidate with proven offshore supervisory experience on mobile offshore drilling units, with ability to independently supervise drilling operations and significant experience on moored semi-submersible rigs.
Excellent communication and well-developed interpersonal skills; team player qualities and a strong collaborator.
The ability to build effective relationships and resolve issues with drilling contractor and service partners. Ability to influence others outside of their reporting / contractual line.
The following experience and qualifications would be an asset to the role (i.e. are individually desirable but not mandatory to meet all):
• Offshore supervisory experience (>10 years preferred). Proven ability to independently supervise drilling operations, with significant experience on moored semi-sub rigs.
• Experience with rig start-ups; reactivation, commissioning, and re-start
• Experience with rig upgrades and rig modifications
• Experience with Australian regulatory environment (NOPSEMA)
• Experience with Browse basin drilling environment
• Safety Leadership capabilities. Proven ability to positively influence a rig’s safety culture.
Experience with making safety interventions and holding structured safety conversations.
• Experience with managing performance within drilling operations.
