Ensure the safe and efficient performance of drilling, well completion and work over activities in accordance with statutory legislation, client programs, Saipem procedures and contractual requirements
Adding the proper drilling know-how and IWCF or IADC certification, be fully able to operate on offshore rig ensuring the well program is carried out in a safe, efficient and productive manner
Tasks:
Ensure all conditions are met for safe working conditions on the rig site at all times
Be safety minded during in all works and behaviors. use compulsory protective equipment and ensure the same for subordinates
Carry out own duties according to the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan
Actively participate HSE Inspections / audit on the rig site
Call for / participate to investigations in case of serious incidents
Apply and ensure the correct application of prescribed Operative Standards and Regulations
Ensure Saipem and Client HSE and Q/A policies and standards are implemented on rig sites
Verify proper housekeeping is maintained on the rig site
Ensure on the job training strategy is fulfilled for subordinates and act as tutor for new personnel
Ensure the proper management of personnel rotation and working hours optimization
Ensure the proper management of personnel through communication, performance and skill evaluation and know-how transfer
Ensure that the non-productive time of the rigs is limited up to a certain targeted level
Be well aware of Drilling program supplied by the Client. Plan and coordinate activities in accordance. Report promptly any possible technical issue.
Instruct the Drillers in the execution of the drilling activities and supervise the drilling crew in order to ensure activities are carried out in accordance with the program
Be well-informed about the established well control and drilling operational procedures
Verify that the maintenance routines of drilling equipment/assets are appropriate and guarantee an efficient performance of drilling activities
Liaise on behalf of Saipem with the Rig site Client representative on site regarding day-by-day operations and interpretation of contract for any downtime
Liaise with the Rig site client’s representative as far as concerns well program definition and day-by-day operations
Ensure reporting routines are fulfilled
Ensure compliance with society and Authority rules and regulations
