Experience and Qualifications:
10 years of experience in the O&G industry, with up to four years offshore experience.
Formal HSE Qualification, Site experience with HSE supervisory exposure.
Offshore Drilling or Well Services background.
Implementation of Safety Management Systems.
Exposure to operations and process safety principles.
Exposure to operations and establishing HSSE systems.
Strong experience in managing subcontractors and service providers.
Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control.
Practical HSE Auditing / Assessment. Non-technical and leadership skill requirements:
Good command of written and spoken English.
Ability to work in a multi-discipline environment.

Proven ability to liaise effectively with all levels within an organisation.

Undergraduate Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or other undergraduate qualification in a related field plus substantial occupational HSE experience in a heavy industry (e.g., oil and gas, mining, or construction)
Sound knowledge of The Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Safety), OPGGS(S) Regulations 2009.
Knowledge of Offshore Safety Case requirements.
Knowledge of Assist and Assure safety program.
Offshore Drilling experience.
Able to effectively consult with Statutory Authorities, where required.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with ability to interact with staff and management at all levels for improvement of health and safety.
