Job description:
A Roustabout is a manual laborer who works in the oil and gas industry, performing a variety of physically demanding tasks related to drilling operations and the maintenance of drilling equipment. Some of the key responsibilities of a Roustabout include:
- Assisting with the assembly and disassembly of drilling equipment.
- Loading and unloading supplies and equipment onto drilling rigs.
- Cleaning and maintaining drilling equipment and rig facilities.
- Performing manual labor tasks, such as digging trenches and laying pipes.
- Assisting with the maintenance of drilling equipment, including the tightening of bolts and the painting of surfaces.
- Monitoring drilling operations and reporting any malfunctions or equipment problems to a supervisor.
- Complying with all safety procedures and regulations in the oil and gas industry.
The ideal candidate for a Roustabout position should be physically fit and capable of performing physically demanding tasks. They should also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and- possess strong problem-solving skills. Prior experience in manual labor or the oil and gas industry is helpful, but not necessarily required.
