The Rig Welder safely and efficiently fabricates, cuts, fits, and modifies or repairs metal and steel devices, structures and piping as directed and oversees all execution of hot work and oversees all welding, cutting, or grinding work.
Follow layouts and blueprints while welding metal components together
Make sure all material surfaces are cleaned ready to be welded
Construct or repair metal products by joining either manual or by machine
Mark material with proper job number and other marks
Review the Chemist and Competent Persons reports to determine if the job site is safe
