Description
The successful candidate will serve as a Certified Welder that will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment, as well as bolster and support both on-site and off-site, 2- and 4-stroke engine service activities. You will be responsible for completing supportive tasks assignments, including welding and fabrication, mechanical assembly and disassembly, cleaning, rigging, inspecting, and recording measurements, etc.
Plan details of work order procedures and gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job
Repair and fabricate various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment
Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
Perform various welding assignments and controls tools
Complete and submit various types of calibration and service reports, time sheets, expense reports, job safety assessments, in compliance with company and customer standards. Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area and notify the supervisor when faulty equipment or defective material are discovered
Train and mentor less skilled employees, demonstrate proper work methods, and discuss viable alternatives and considerations
