Team Recruitment is seeking an experienced Rig Mechanic for an offshore drilling assignment based in Aberdeen.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and drilling rig equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation throughout the assignment.
• Perform planned and corrective maintenance on rig machinery
• Inspect mechanical systems and identify defects
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment
• Maintain pumps, engines, hydraulic systems, and auxiliary machinery
• Assist with equipment overhauls and repairs
• Maintain accurate maintenance records
• Follow permit-to-work, isolation, risk assessment, and HSE procedures
Requirements:
• Relevant mechanical qualification or trade certification
• Previous offshore drilling rig mechanical experience
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills
• Experience with drilling rig equipment preferred
• Valid offshore safety certificates relevant to the assignment
• Valid Passport and Medical Certificate
• Valid STCW certification where applicable
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities
• Availability for ASAP mobilisation
