Job Description:
Falcon Drilling is seeking an Experienced Auger Rig Operator I to join our operations team. The Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating Falcon’s Auger Rig equipment, supervising crew members, and ensuring compliance with company safety and operational standards. This role requires field leadership and close coordination with the Operations Manager to deliver successful drilling projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate auger rig equipment by monitoring pressure gauges, throttles, and levers to control rotary table speed and borehole pressure
• Count drill rod sections to determine borehole depth
• Supervise crew and ensure proper training per company requirements
• Act as liaison between Operations Manager and crew, communicating issues or concerns
• Safely handle, apply, and dispose of drilling fluids
• Conduct regular inspections of auger rig and worksite, recommending corrective actions
• Maintain accurate reports, logs, and documentation per company policy
• Notify Operations Manager of changing well conditions, severe weather, or environmental risks
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (or as deemed sufficient by Management)
• 3–5 years auger rig experience, including at least 6 months as an Auger Rig Operator (or equivalent)
• BOP Certification
• First Aid and CPR Certification
• Working knowledge of I.A.D.C. and M.S.D.S. regulations
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
