Job Description
Blue Phoenix Deepwater is currently seeking an experienced Radio Room Administrative Operator for a long-term Offshore Deepwater Drilling Project in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing offshore communications, radio operations, documentation, administrative support, and coordinating communication between the vessel, offshore installation, and shore-based offices while ensuring compliance with company procedures and international maritime regulations.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with previous offshore radio room or marine administrative experience.
Job Responsibilities
Operate and monitor marine communication systems
Maintain radio logs and communication records
Coordinate communication between offshore installation and shore offices
Prepare and maintain administrative documentation
Support crew logistics and operational reporting
Handle incoming and outgoing operational communications
Participate in emergency drills and communication exercises
Ensure compliance with offshore HSE policies and communication procedures
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of operational information
Requirements
Nigerian nationality
Previous offshore experience in radio communications or marine administration
Valid GMDSS certification (preferred)
Valid STCW certification package where applicable
Valid offshore medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong computer and administrative skills
Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
