Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of six (6) months of work experience as an entry lineman, equipment operator or equivalent utility experience
Possess valid Class A Commercial Georgia driver's license and relevant endorsements.
Required Skills:
Ability to gain knowledge on operation, use, care, and maintenance of power digging and pole setting equipment and hydraulically operated take-off and other types of heavy trucks and equipment
Ability to rapidly acquire basic knowledge of corporate procedures, first aid, and safety rules and regulations
Ability to develop thorough knowledge and skill within each of the specified steps of equipment operator progression
Ability to gain knowledge and understanding of underground utility installation of direct bury and directional boring equipment
Ability to gain knowledge of overhead distribution construction including the various types of crane operations
Ability to gain knowledge of Georgia Utility Facility Protection Act (GUFPA) regulations
Obtain valid Georgia Flagging Certification after course completion.
