The HSE Coordinator is responsible for rigsite health, safety, environmental, and training compliance for rig operations and loss control program within rig operations.
The HSE Field Coordinator position is expected for Winter Exploration season to start Fall of 2023 until Spring of 2024.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Goalsetting/Planning:
Assists in the development of annual HSE goals. Ensures input of HSE requirements in planning and design of new or modified equipment or facilities.
Communicating:
Supports company policies and provides guidance on content of those policies. Helps communicate policies to Nordic employees.
Contributes to daily morning reports.
Communicates audit findings with personnel.
Attend field assessments (Quarterly).
Active member of Safety Leadership Team at the rigsite. Establishes and maintains external communications with customers and internal communications within company regarding HSE requirements and performance.
Reports serious incidents to Nordic management.
Shares accident reports and safety bulletins with all rigs.
Attends industry safety meetings and seminars (including drilling HSE Forums) to keep current on new safety legislation. Be a resource for industrial hygiene issues such as SARA inventory, base line monitoring, and regulatory program requirements.
Be a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for calibration and maintenance of gas meters. (Monthly)
