◾ The Floorman is responsible for the safe execution of the instructions given by the Driller.
◾ The Floorman must perform his duties in such a way that the safety of others is not endangered, and he must through instruction and experiences sharing actively contribute to improving the safety standard maintained by the drill floor team.
◾ When the Floorman is controlling the work of others, he is responsible for their safety.
◾ Further the Floorman has the responsibility for the following:
◾ Acquire sufficient knowledge about regulations related to safety and working
environment, and to the SIRIUS Management System, Safety Policy and Environmental Policy of Noble and the Well Control Manual, to ensure compliance with these regulations and procedures in the daily duties on board
◾ Undertake necessary work in connection with the drilling operation: On the drill floor, in the shale shaker room, in the mud processing areas, on the BOP deck, and in other areas onboard, as instructed by the Driller or the Assistant Driller
◾ Maintain a good working environment in all working areas and ensure good
housekeeping and safe working conditions
◾ Have particular knowledge of the Work Permit system.
