Qualifications and Skills
Must be familiar with all aspects of safety lifecycle management, with extensive experience developing Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS), logic narrative development, and SIL Calculations. Some experience with PHA/LOPA development, including identifying hazards, allocating safeguards, allocating Independent Protection Layers (IPLs), and developing test and validation procedures.
Education: bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a functional safety engineer for projects in the oil & gas industry.
