Job Summary:
The primary role of a rotating equipment engineer is to oversee the design, operation, maintenance, and repair of various types of rotating equipment used in industrial settings, such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and different types of engines.
- Design and selection of rotating equipment: The rotating equipment engineer selects the right type of equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and generators for specific applications. They also design and evaluate new equipment to ensure that it meets the required standards.
- Installation and commissioning: The rotating equipment engineer oversees the installation and commissioning of rotating equipment to ensure that it is installed correctly and operates efficiently.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting: The rotating equipment engineer is responsible for maintaining the equipment, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions to ensure that the equipment operates at optimal efficiency and availability.
- Inspection and testing: The rotating equipment engineer carries out regular inspection and testing of equipment to detect any faults or potential problems before they cause downtime or damage to the equipment.
- Safety and environmental compliance: The rotating equipment engineer ensures that the equipment meets safety and environmental regulations and that it operates in compliance with these regulations.
