Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Mechanical or Chemical discipline preferred).
2+ years experience in an industrial production facility in the role of plant engineer or other similar plant operations role required. Air gas, chemical, or refinery production experience preferred.
Technical/working understanding of ASU plant process/equipment is preferred
Strong project management abilities and the ability to manage plant personnel
Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting engineering issues within a plant operations environment
Trainable on Distributed Process Control (DCS) operation/troubleshooting
Able to deliver/explain training material to operating personnel
Familiarity with google Office products, Smartsolve, Maximo®, Oracle Cost Reporting, Oracle Purchasing is a plus
Able to maintain a plant filing system and control of engineering documents
Ability to read/red-line key operating documents
Display mechanical and electrical aptitude for equipment operation/troubleshooting
General understanding of accounting principles; ability to learn plant operating budget
Organized, effective at time management; ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills, team leadership skills
Ability to interact effectively with all levels in an organization
Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate
On call nights, weekends and holidays as required; occasional travel
