Program Manager - Mechanical Engineer (Principal - Senior Advisor)
Location: Houston, TX, US
Responsibilities
Working under broad direction, analyzes, modifies, and designs for multiple projects and/or projects of great complexity requiring independent application of advance engineering techniques
Leads projects or design teams. Considered a subject matter expert in the application of standard materials and components
Investigates use of alternate materials and provides input on strategic sourcing of materials
Plans and conducts projects with wide latitude for independent action
Advises and handles field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services
Incorporates Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process

Customer facing
Tracking requirements, analyzing budget (annual and monthly), managing schedules, and technical decision making
Preferred experience with design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, failure investigation, and technical writing
PMP certification preferred
Education Requirements
Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline, and 7 years of related experience. Completion of a Masters in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred. Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is also preferred
Candidates having qualification that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available from Principal Mechanical, Mechanical Technical Advisor up to the Senior Mechanical Technical Advisor
