Job Role Responsibilities (Electrical Engineer)


1) Maintain close contact with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project development to identify and implement electrical equipment repairs and reliability improvements

2) Coordinate projects for new or replacement equipment among engineering, maintenance, and operations

3)Commissioning, startup assistance, and support of electrical systems with maintenance personnel

4)Serve as an electrical technology expert liaison between Project Engineers, Plant Maintenance, and Training personnel.

5)Be the focal point for all Electrical issues and be updated in order to provide the site with good technical assessment and recommendation for latest technology.

6)Design, install, repair, maintain, operate, inspect, test and take full charge and responsibility for any electrical installations on the site up from low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage (Added advantage).

7)Troubleshoot electrical equipment failures and recommend solutions to avoid recurring issues.

8)Track repair and maintenance issues with plant electrical systems to ensure completion.

9)Evaluate current preventative/predictive maintenance program to identify areas of improvement.

10) Review electrical system inspection and maintenance reports.

11) Develop and implement improvements in electrical maintenance program to improve electrical system reliability.

Job Requirements
1) Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2) Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in electrical engineering activities in the chemical or petrochemical or onshore industry.
3) Ability to work with a wide variety of personnel at different levels of engineering, design, maintenance, and management local and overseas.
4) Ability to work with internal customers as well as suppliers and repair facilities of electrical equipment.
5) Good interpersonal skills.
6) Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in both written and verbal form for the purpose of instructing others in technical matters and obtaining cooperation from various personnel.
7)Problem solving / troubleshooting of electrical systems.
8) Knowledge of Electrical Safety standards and Area Electrical Classification standards (IEC, IEEE, or ANSI)
9)Work experience in petrochemical production units and awareness of surroundings from a safety and environmental point of view
