Description
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement cost control procedures and policies for projects, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards
Monitor and analyze project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses, to identify any variances from budgeted costs
Review and verify project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepare regular cost reports and financial analyses for project managers and other stakeholders, highlighting any discrepancies or potential risks
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend appropriate actions
Provide guidance and support to project teams on cost control measures, including monitoring and tracking expenses, identifying cost overruns, and implementing corrective actions
Participate in project meetings and provide expertise on cost control matters, including presenting cost reports, analyzing cost trends, and forecasting future costs
Maintain and update cost control databases, tools, and templates to ensure accurate and up-to-date cost tracking and reporting
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to cost control and financial management, and recommend improvements or changes to existing processes as needed
