Job Description
Blue Phoenix Deepwater is currently seeking an experienced Barge Engineer for a long-term Offshore Deepwater Drilling Project in Nigeria.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's engineering systems, supporting ballast operations, supervising machinery maintenance, and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of all mechanical equipment onboard.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced offshore engineers with previous drilling or barge experience.

Job Responsibilities
Supervise engine room and machinery operations
Maintain propulsion, auxiliary, and ballast systems
Perform planned and corrective maintenance
Monitor engineering performance and equipment reliability
Coordinate repairs and spare parts management
Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings
Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures and international maritime regulations
Maintain engineering documentation and maintenance records

Requirements
Nigerian nationality
Previous offshore experience as Barge Engineer
Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Valid STCW 2010 certification package
Valid offshore medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong engineering and troubleshooting skills
Excellent safety awareness and teamwork abilities
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
