We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 2nd Assistant Engineer to work on an offshore drilling rig. You will be responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment on the rig. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain the rig's power generation and distribution systems
Assist in the maintenance and repair of all drilling equipment, including pumps, motors, and drilling tools
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly
Assist in the training and development of junior engineers and crew members
Work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure all maintenance and repair activities are completed on schedule
Follow all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
