The individual has to be very knowledgeable of all aspects of the drilling industry. A Driller has to be conscientious, safe and quick thinking under extreme conditions. The position requires the supervision of several employees while at the same time running a multi-million-dollar drilling rig efficiently. Will be required to have a first aid card and Blowout prevention card at the Drilling Supervisor level.
The Driller position is expected for Winter Exploration season to start Fall of 2023 until Spring of 2024.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the operation, training, safety and supervision of rig crew.
Responsible for maintenance and well condition.
Advises, consults and communicates with oil company representatives in regard to drilling program, monitoring mud and hole conditions for blowout conditions.
Advises, consults and communicates with rig supervisor in regard to the condition of the rig and hole.
Extensively familiar with all operations of the rig and subsurface tools.
Monitors all rig and subsurface conditions.
Skilled in certain relative figures that apply in daily rig operations (torque, weight, depth, ton miles etc.
Performs any other duties that may be assigned.
