Job Description
Blue Phoenix Deepwater is currently seeking an experienced Dynamic Positioning Officer (DPO) for a long-term Offshore Deepwater Drilling Project in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the vessel's position during offshore drilling operations, monitoring DP systems, supporting bridge operations, and ensuring safe and efficient offshore activities.
This opportunity is ideal for DP-certified officers with previous offshore vessel or Drillship experience.
Job Responsibilities
Operate and monitor Dynamic Positioning systems
Maintain vessel position during offshore operations
Support bridge watchkeeping duties
Monitor navigation and DP alarms
Maintain DP operational logs and documentation
Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and offshore regulations
Promote safe offshore operations at all times
Requirements
Nigerian nationality
Previous experience as DPO onboard offshore vessels or Drillships
Valid DP Unlimited Certificate
Valid STCW 2010 certification package
Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Valid offshore medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong understanding of DP systems and offshore operations
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
