Job description
Operating the derrick, including the hoisting and lowering of heavy loads and the control of drilling mud.
Performing routine maintenance on the derrick, including the tightening of bolts and the lubrication of moving parts.
Monitoring drilling operations and ensuring that the derrick is functioning properly.
Assisting with the assembly and disassembly of drilling equipment.
Communicating with other members of the drilling crew, including the Driller, to coordinate drilling operations.
Ensuring that the derrick is in compliance with all safety procedures and regulations in the oil and gas industry.
