This position is in charge of executing the mobilization of containers using the crane or heavy machinery inside the terminal.
Job Role - Full time
Education: Preferably high school diploma.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience driving heavy equipment. Must be a Certified Crane Operator.
Current D3 license
Knowledge of operations in container transport terminals, yard movements and other yard handling equipment.
Knowledge of the use of pneumatic tools
Job Responsibilities :
1. Performs operations safely, respecting all established work procedures and safety codes to avoid damage to personnel or equipment.
2. Inspect the equipment on a daily basis in order to guarantee its optimal functioning.
3. Carry out support tasks for the Structural Repair Workshop.
4. Create a daily record of the containers moved and their locations, number of productive and unproductive movements on a manual sheet or VMT (computer incorporated into the equipment).
5. Informs of any existing danger with respect to safety during operations.
6.Report any malfunction and request equipment maintenance when necessary.
7. Maintain the driver's cabin and other spaces in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
8. Stow the equipment and accommodate it according to the needs of the business.
9.Follow the instructions of the yard coordinator and the shift coordinator on duty.
10.Comply with established speed limits and traffic flow regulations in the terminal.
11.Operate other heavy machinery or trucks as needed.
