Job Description
Blue Phoenix Deepwater is currently seeking an experienced Senior Crane Operator for a long-term Offshore Deepwater Drilling Project in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will supervise offshore lifting operations, operate heavy-duty offshore cranes, coordinate lifting teams, and ensure all lifting activities are performed safely and efficiently.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced offshore crane operators with previous deepwater drilling or offshore construction experience.
Job Responsibilities
Operate offshore cranes during heavy lifting operations
Supervise crane and lifting activities
Inspect cranes and lifting equipment before operations
Coordinate with rigging teams and deck personnel
Follow approved lifting plans and procedures
Participate in toolbox talks and emergency drills
Maintain lifting documentation and inspection records
Ensure compliance with offshore HSE and lifting standards
Requirements
Nigerian nationality
Previous experience as Senior Crane Operator offshore
Valid offshore crane operator certification
Valid STCW certification package where applicable
Valid offshore medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong lifting operations and supervisory skills
Excellent safety awareness
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
