Job Description
Blue Phoenix Deepwater is currently seeking an experienced Crane Operator for a long-term Offshore Deepwater Drilling Project in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating offshore cranes safely and efficiently, supporting lifting operations, cargo handling, and offshore construction activities while ensuring full compliance with offshore safety standards.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced offshore crane operators with previous Drillship or offshore vessel experience.
Job Responsibilities
Operate offshore cranes during lifting operations
Inspect cranes and lifting gear before use
Execute lifting activities in accordance with approved lifting plans
Coordinate with riggers and deck crew during operations
Maintain crane operational records
Participate in toolbox talks and emergency drills
Ensure compliance with offshore HSE procedures
Support safe offshore construction and drilling operations
Requirements
Nigerian nationality
Previous experience as Crane Operator on offshore vessels or Drillships
Valid offshore crane operator certification
Valid STCW certification package where applicable
Valid offshore medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong lifting operations knowledge
Excellent safety awareness and teamwork abilities
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
